“great casa and friendly people”

we stayed here for one night and had booked this casa based on reviews. Upon arrival Lester and his wife greeted us with big smiles, coffee and a complimentary cigar!

The garden courtyard area is really chilled and lovely and we spent most of the night sat outside here. The food was great (we had lobster!) and the portions were huge! BReakfast was also delicious and Lester was always there to give advice and help out. He arranged a taxi for us to go back to Havana and spoke good English.

I would definitely recommend this casa!!

“A perfect place!”

We stayed in Remedios only for one day but we really enjoy to spend time at this hostal...very clean, the owners are really nice persons and the house is a perfect example of colonial house!

Lester y Naty son unas personas muy agradable y amables se preocupan por como están sus huéspedes. La casa la tiene muy bonita y organizada la limpieza impecable y hacen unas comidas buenísimas la verdad k repetiría y es un viaje k nunca podrás olvidar volvería a ir con los ojos cerrados tanto por el trato como por la gente k nos atendió como Lester y Naty

“Remedios, la gran sorpresa del viaje!”

Hola! Estuvimos 4amigos hace cosa de dos meses en Cuba y de Trinidad a Cayo Santa María decidimos quedarnos un día en Remedios. Nos fuímos a casa de Lester y Naty de casualidad y fue tal la acogida que nos quedamos 4 días al final!!! Sin duda, la mejor experiencia en Cuba! Sé que leen estos comentarios, así que os deseo un FELIZ AÑO de parte de Pablo, Pedrito, Cuco y Manu y espero que vuestro hijo haya pasado esas pruebas de admisión! “Un bellissimo soggiorno in un luogo ospitale e pieno di fascino.”

Abbiamo alloggiato tre giorni in questo hostal, che si è rivelato per noi gradevolissimo. I padroni di casa sono sensibili, simpatici e professionali. Le camere sono tenute molto bene ed i letti ad una piazza e mezzo sono comodisssimi. L'atmosfera è tranquilla e rilassata, il patio interno è molto caratteristico e affascinante. Si mangia davvero bene, dalla ricca colazione alla cena non solo abbondantissima e squisita ma servita anche in modo raffinato. So che molti viaggiatori non amano le case particular, ma noi che in genere alloggiamo in ottimi alberghi e siamo abbastanza esigenti ci siamo trovati benissimo in questo hostal. Ci torneremo appena possibile.

Consejo sobre las habitaciones: L'hostal ha due camere: noi abbiamo scelto quella interna che ha una piccola finestra sul patio perchè non volevamo sentire i rumori della strada; l'altra camera è più ampia.

“World-class B&B in a lovely town”

It’s hard to say what we liked best at Hostal Buenviaje. Was it the beautiful garden setting, or the fantastic home-cooked meals, or hosts Naty and Lester themselves? Remedios is a great low-key alternative to the bustle and hucksterism of some of Cuba’s tourist towns: it has a beautiful church, great little museums and warm, open, friendly people with absolutely no ulterior motives! And it’s also a good jumping-off point for the beaches to the north. But if we do return someday—as we would love to do—the main attraction that brings us back will be the incomporable people and accommodations at Hostal Buenviaje.

“Un viaje perfecto en un lugar espectacular”

Estuvimos pocos dias pero lo pasamos tan bien que ya hemos pensado en repetir. El servicio fue estupendo la limpiza impecable la comida muy buena y el lugar muy bonito. La estancia coincidio en epoca de fiestasy tradicionales de la zona, las famosas parrandas, y nos encantaron algo diferente a lo que estamos acostumbrados a ver. En fin que les recomienndo el hostal buen viaje a todos y remedios un lugar muy bonito y con mucha tradicion, y por supuesto a lester y naty que son personas encantadoras.

“totalmente recomendable”

Pasamos por Remedios y buscando un sitio para desayunar, encontramos el Hostal Buen Viaje. Lester y Naty nos recibieron en su casa, y lo que iba a ser un simple desayuno en un dia lluvioso, se convirtio en (aparte de un muy buen desayuno, servido con mucho mimo y de una calidad excelente) en una amena mañana charlando de un monton de cosas con los propietarios, gente con la que aprendes muchas cosas de Remedios en particular y de Cuba en general. La casa es muy bonita y las habitaciones muy agradables.

Nosotros hemos viajado varias veces a Cuba, y nos hemos alojado en algunas casas, pero esta nos ha llamado particularmente la atencion por el cuidado en los detalles y sobre todo por el trato recibido de sus propietarios. La recomendamos.

“Hostal Buen Viaje Remedios Cuba”

This is the best place ever! Lester and Naty are not only great hosts but also they helped us in everything we needed. The Hostal is cosy and have a wonderful area to get together, where we hang out with other tourists from Italy and Holland. Also Remedios is close enough by car to Cayo Santa Maria and the Playa Blanca and other playas still very natural with very few people and no constructions.

Consejo sobre las habitaciones: Well, the street is a little noise so you should ask for any other room but the front one.

“A must if you stay in Remedios”

This was by far the best casa we had, not only in Remedios but during our 2 weeks in Cuba. The rooms are great, clean and fully equipped (AC, fridge). The most important thing about this casa though are the owners, Lester and Naty. They are wonderful people that make your feel at home from the second you enter their house. Besides, they are fabulous cooks (best dinner in Cuba)!! We can only recommend this place! Its perfect!

Unser Aufenthalt im Hostal Buen Viaje war eines der Highlights unserer Kuba-Rundreise: Naty und Lester sind das mit Sicherheit netteste und herzlichste Gastgeber-Paar, das wir getroffen haben. Da wir kaum Spanisch sprechen, haben sie uns alles Wissenswerte über Remedios mit Händen und Füßen erklärt, die Begeisterung für ihre hübsche Heimatstadt war wirklich ansteckend...

Unser Zimmer in dem liebevoll in Schuss gehaltenen Haus war groß und super sauber, die Betten sehr bequem. Herausragend war auch die Bewirtung - besseres (und reichlicheres) Essen haben wir während unserer ganzen Reise nicht bekommen. Absolut empfehlenswert!

“Wonderful casa”

We are a family of five and spent two nights over Christmas with Lester and Naty in their casa. They were delightful hosts and worked hard to make our stay enjoyable. The casa has a beautiful open air courtyard where breakfast and dinner can be eaten. The food is exceptionally tasty and well presented. We would recommend the casa to other travellers.
