“simply the bast casa in Cuba”

My husband and I went to Remedious on 23rd December There is an amazing festival at that time which has to be seen and experienced to be believed .Because of the festival it was peak time in Remedious with thousands partying for 3 days. I was recovering from a bout of food poisoning and very anxious about the food. I need not have worried Lester and Nathy are are brilliant The first evening we arrived we had the nicest soup I have ever tasted It included some cabbage which normally I hate but the flavour was soo good it still make me hungry to think of it and that was the beginning of 4 days of great food well cooked and presented and hospitality second to none. We were made feel so welcome .Lester and Nathy could not do enough to help us When we said what we wanted to see in the area he organized day trips at very good rates saving us a lot of money (he looked for other people to share taxi's etc to our destination ) He organized a roof terrace overlooking the square to enable us view the absolutely amazing fireworks. He give us advice again and again on being careful of pickpockets etc who were attracted to Remedious because of the crowds the rest of the year Remedious is just a pretty town with a lovely square and friendly atmosphere Nothing was too much trouble I gained a great insight to Cuba from our long chats I am also very interested in food and cookery and found Lester to have a similar passion One of the other guests was ill with a fever when we were there Both Lester and Nathy were so concerned giving any medicine they had available, making hot drinks special meals soup etc I was very impressed to the passion they have for food and the attention which they give their guests The room was basic but comfortable and spotless The house stands out from it's neighbours in how well it is maintained It has a lovely secluded garden where some of the fruit and vegetable which were presented to us are grown

“Team Cuba Loves you Lester & Naty!”

My friend, her little girl (4.5yrs old) We travelled to Remedios for the Las Parrandas festival during christmas. Lester & Naty were so incredibly kind to us. Their knowledge of the town and surrounding areas was great, they organised tours for us and even made sure we got to Havana safe and sound to make our early flight.

The festival was a truly amazing experience and we were looked after so well. The food was spectacular, the best in cuba especially for this vegetarian! I wish we had longer to stay in Remedios, Lester, Naty and their friends will stay in our hearts forever.

“Excellent - Highly recommended”

Stayed 3 nights - should have been more. Lester and Natty are the perfect hosts. Speak excellent English and are fascinating people to talk to. The house is charming, the garden is peaceful and the rocking chairs on the terrace are a wonderful place to relax after a days sightseeing. Remedios is well worth a visit and with a hire car access to the magnificent beaches at Cayo Santa Maria is very easy. The enormous dinners were always excellent and Lester makes a wicked Mojito. Our room had a small well stocked fridge which as a real positive feature when its hot. Highly recommended.

“super friendly hosts, very concerned about their guests' comfort, really recommendable”

Our stay at the Hostal Buen Viaje was really pleasant - they received us super friendly, even with a welcome Mojito cocktail (which was one of the best I've tried in Cuba)! The food they offer in the evening was good aswell and so much that hardly anyone could finish it! The rooms were nice and also the location is really well, considering that it is really close to the central square but far away so that you can sleep even if there's a party going on there...
